Hey, so I'm going to get a pair of Sennheiser HD 518 Headphones.

I have an ASUS Crosshair 5 Formula -Z mobo.

I was wondering if my mobo would be enough to power them, or if I should get a DAC AMP.

If so, which one would you suggest? ($50-$100)

They're 50 ohms, so idk.

Thanks for any help!

Then what would be a similar pair, that have more bass?

Well, how much bass are you actually looking for? And what are you gonna use them for? :D Btw, Im not saying it's a bad heaphone really, It's just not a bassy headphone, you can hear bass but ya won't feel it ;P

The 518 has the most bass of any open headphone in the price range that I know of. If you want more, the Takstar Pro 80 or it's cheaper Q-Pad clone will deliver, but with closed backs.

Well I want open for gaming, but also some bass. For casual listening and travel, I'm going to be using the hd 419, then the hd 518 for my rig.
