Does anybody use powerline?

Im trying to see if powerline is a viable option for me because I dont want my pc beside my basement. Id rather have it in my room on the 2nd floor and running an ethernet cable up there isnt an option. If you do use it, can you post what you get with an ethernet connection vs a powerline connection? Including ping. Thanks.

I don't have an Ethernet comparison, but I can do Wifi:

Powerline:

 

Wifi (dem downs):

Assuming everything is working as it should and you've got a good connection

 

Additional latency (add this ontop of any connection):

Ethernet: <1ms

WiFi: 2ms average, range from 1ms to 100ms+

Powerline: 4ms average, range from 3ms to 50ms+

 

Bandwidth bottleneck (if your connection is faster than this, this is your new speed):

Wired 100Mbps: ~100Mbps

Wired Gigabit: ~1Gbps

Wireless N: 30-80Mbps

Wireless AC: 150-400Mbps

Powerline AV(200/500): 30-70Mbps

Powerline AV2(1200/2000): 100-200Mbps
