Issue with Dell U3415W

Go to solution Solved by llthim,

I found what's the problem of it... it was the amd catalyst problem.

Hi, recently I've bought the Dell U3415W and currently I'm facing some issue with it. When the pc start up I'm able to see the bios screen but when the screen load into window starting screen it will suddenly turn off the display and run into power save mode. I will have to turn the power off or unplug and plug back the display port to get the display resume. I would like ask is there anyone faces the same issue I have before? I'm not sure is this my pc problem or the monitor. I'm using this monitor with amd hd7850 oc

I use U3415W and never had such problem with GTX970 card. Seems like a graphics card / power supply to card problem.

I'm trying to plug it to my old monitor but through the dvi it doesn't have this problem.

And my issue is that if I'm starting up my pc with powering on my monitor at once this issue wouldn't appear. The issue only occur when I'm starting up my pc while the monitor is in power save mode. So I'm confuse which things is causing this to happen.

The problem is oddly familiar to my old issue before I have my U3415W.

My PC couldn't be started consistently because my powered USB hub was connected to the PC. If I didn't connect my USB hub to my PC, then I could power it on consistently.

It may mistakenly the small current coming from hub as the main power source and hence thinking that it doesn't have enough power to start.

Maybe try to unplug unnecessary devices from your PC to see if the problem coming from one of them.
