Ya bro if you're only looking to play CSGO then a 950 would do fine, even a 750ti.

CPU: I5-7600k(5.1GHz)                                                       RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED(2x8GB @ 3200MHz/CAS-15)              Case: Cooler Master HAF 912

Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO                                                      Storage: 850 EVO 250GB - 2x(1TB WD Blue(Raid 0))                                   PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750W B2

Mobo: ASUS MAXIMUS IX HERO                                       GPU: G1 GTX 970                                                                                                  OS: Windows 10

I've seen a person with a 750ti get around 120 fps on CSGO...

Thats just impossible! You will be able to get more than 100 fps with a 750ti no problem! 750ti is really good gaming gpu! :)

the fun thing is i doubt, that would make such a significant impact like that, to a game that has about the same polygons as WOW and i can run that at like 200 with no AA

1440p is a lot harder to run you might need a 960 or 970 if u want maxed settings with AA.

For that price find someone's used 970 that still has warranty. Some gamers always want to upgrade.... just gotta find those guys.

$159 for a 950.... yikes. I couldn't recommend anything but the 960 at this point.

I've said this before in other posts but I had the GTX 770 4 Gb, bought it used, it lasted me 7 months then was having issues.

Sent RMA to Zotac, they sent me the 970 and it, so far BLOWS away that 770. In The Witcher 3 I can run pretty much maxed out settings

and it won't drop under 50 fps in 1080p. I limit it to 60 for capping video AND tearing. Like when I watch the video of it, it's perfectly smooth, no tearing, but while I'm playing sometimes even locked at 60fps there is tearing. I suspect the monitor since it was fairly a cheap 1080p but I got it as a present a few years back.

Viewsonic 22 inch or something. It's good but I hate seeing tearing. It minimal, but it's there.

Although for a 950 I like this one.  If I had to buy one. Although it really couldn't play The Witcher 3 unless you lower the settings.
