Computer keeps crashing.

Go to solution Solved by Abreed05,

Graphics drives are my guess. Make sure they are up to date. Or if you recently updated try rolling back the driver.

Could also just reinstall the driver.

Also Adobe can cause issues especially with youtube. Might want to make sure the latest version of flash is installed as well.

That is where I would start.

FIXED: You have to go to any video and right click on the video, then click settings and disable hardware acceleration if you're using Adobe Flash.

Okay, so my computer keeps crashing, its specs will be posted below. What happens is that i'll be watching a youtube video, or twitch, or anything and the computer will stay powered on and everything but the screen will be frozen, like nothing will happen and you can't move the mouse or anything. Also whenever there is sound from a video the monitor will just buzz. Nothing is overclocked. Any ideas of how to fix this or what's happening?

Specs:

Case: NZXT Phantom 530 Full Tower Black

CPU: AMD FX 4350 Black Edition 4.2GHz Quad-Core

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair V AM3+

RAM: EVGA 16GB-DDR3 1600 superclocked series

Hard Drive 1: SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB

Hard Drive 2: WD Desktop Mainstream 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"

Power Supply: Corsair CX Series CX750 750 Watt

GPU: Radeon R9 380

Sounds like your GPU might be messing up... Run some GPU stress tests if you can and see if those crash your computer. Also, just for good measure, I'd run some CPU (AIDA 64 Stress test) and RAM stress tests (Memtest86). If you have a spare GPU that you know works, try swapping that out for the one you currently have in your computer and see if that resolves the issue.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Thank you for the replies, we will be conducting tests shortly and I'll post them here, i've already ran the AMD Overdrive stability test and also Kombustor and nothing happened, hopefully these tests will do the trick

Nothing happened, no crashes or anything. We ran Kombustor again at max settings and it still didn't crash

even when running 3D mark it didnt crash. Anyone else know why?

Some advice: quote people if you want them to respond to you :)

How long did you run the tests? You might wanna try running them overnight. Are you looping 3D Mark or just running it once? Some other GPU stressing programs you can check out are Unigine Heaven and Valley (I personally use these).

As I've mentioned previously, also try stressing your CPU and RAM - just to make sure they're working.

Okay! Sorry :D I'll start quoting. We changed motherboards from an ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3.0 to ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z, would that cause a crash? I read online that it could cause crashes.

We ran all tests you said to run, CPU, GPU, Memory, and nothing happened, no crashes. I've also read that Adobe Flash Player would cause crashes to computer just like the one I'm experiencing with the computer. Maybe that's an issue?

Thanks <3

Did you reinstall your motherboard drivers after swapping motherboards?

Yes, by reinstall do you mean install the new motherboard drivers? We're using Windows 8.1 as well.
