Hello everyone,

So I am looking to dual-boot Windows 10 and OSX El Capitan. Right now, I have an Intel i7 4790K (I know my signature says that I have an X4 750k - I need to change it). Anyway, I went to go into the BIOS to change the boot order, so I restarted my PC. The MSI logo appears and at the bottom it says, "[DEL] Enter BIOS, [F11] Boot Menu". So, I rapidly started jamming the delete key (not backspace), and next thing I saw was the Windows logo with the spinney thing below it. I've accessed the BIOS, so I have no idea what is wrong.

SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!

Thanks!

Ethan

EDIT: I've accessed the BIOS before because my CPU has a pretty nice OC on it - 5.0 GHz to be exact :)

Current System: CPU: Intel i7 4790K 4.6 GHz @ 1.28 volts | Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600 MHz + G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1866 MHz (Total RAM: 24GB) | Cooling: Corsair H100i | GPU: Zotac GTX 1070 AMP! | Storage: WD Black 1TB + Samsung 960 EVO 500GB + SanDisk 500GB SSD + WD Blue 4TB + Seagate 2TB External + Rosewill 3TB External | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: NZXT S340 Elite

Planned Upgrades: No idea

Maybe you're too slow.

Hold [Del] as it's rebooting?

  1. Shut your PC down

unplug the PSU

discharge any static electricity from your body

clear CMOS if you have a CMOS jumper on the MOBO if not, take the MOBO's battery out and put it in backwards wait like 30 seconds, take it back out and put it in the correct way

plug back in the PSU

restart PC and then you will be told/directed to go into the BIOS to make changes

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
