Nexus 5 is a great phone. Especially since Marshmallow dropped. Fixed a ton of issues and my two year old Nexus now works better than it ever has. Only downsides are no additional storage, hard to replace battery and a rather mediocre camera. Rest of the phone is excellent.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

I am currently still using an HTC One M7 from when it first came out. I've had it replaced once by my carrier after it stopped charging, although that is mostly because Micro-USB is crap.

Pros:

  • The camera is great, although not high mega-pixels so zooming and cropping is bad.
  • The front facing speakers are amazing, but not very loud.
  • Has a fast processor (for being 3 years old).
  • The UI is quite nice, even though it's not stock android.
  • Premium feel to it, being a unibody alumunium.

Cons:

  • Not much RAM so multi-tasking is only OK, but not great by today's standards.
  • Speakers aren't very loud.
  • Don't even bother zooming or cropping photos.
  • No SD card slot (although I've never gone over the 8gb on-board storage of my model).
  • End of it's life cycle, so no more updates from HTC.

Note that the last con is pretty important. Although the latest update has brought it up to Android Lollipop (5.0.2) you won't ever see Marshmallow (6.0) on it (not officially at least).

HTC does still udate it's own apps through the google play store, such as the camera, it's gallery app and, more importantly, Sense UI.

To summarise:

A really nice phone, but if you can get something newer, do that.

PC: i7-3770k, GTX 670, 16gb 1600mhz, SSDs only, Corsair K70, Razer Deathadder, Windows 10.

Xbone

HTC One M7 is a great phone (I have it myself) but the only thing that bugs me about it, is the 2300mAh battery & 4 "Ultrapixel" camera... But other than that, I love it [emoji4] You could go for the Nexus 5 because it's the best performing one from those 3 listed BUT it has the same size battery as the M7, so battery life on it is rather meh... The Moto G is good, but it's rather a phone for just texting, calling & sometimes an non heavy occasional game from time to time (atleast in my eyes)... So the decision is on you now [emoji4]

For that price I would recommend a good phone that is from China most likley the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and it completely obliterates the choices you put out and you can even get a AOSP rom for it if you don't like MIUI 7. you can get the 32GB version for £115 on gearbest (EU Warehouse). But you will only get 4G on Vodafone and EE.

Here are the specs:

http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_2-6992.php

| Ryzen 7 3700x | 16GB Vengance @ 3200 | MSI GTX 1070Ti Gaming |

| ADATA XPG SX8000NP 256GB Nvme SSD + WD Blue 500GB SSD | 4TB WD Blue |

     | Corsair RM650x |

| NZXT H200 White |
