Facebook Hacked?

Mundlier

So a few hours ago, my dad got his facebook hacked. He doesn't use it and his passwords are out of date making him a vulnerable victim. Thankfully, I was there and I helped him sort out his troubles. Whoever got in my dads acount changed the profile pic to a porn like photo and joined over 100+ groups, requesting to join a few 100+ more. I cleaned all that up, canceled group invites, left all groups, and deleted the photo. Then I went on to updating his password and making sure his privacy setting were up to date.

I myself am not a facebook user but my dad wants to keep it to look professional (for work).

I just want to know if I missed anything. Is there anything else I can do to make the account secure? And who would want to do this?

See if it has a log of who logged in recently and from where.

Do you know where I can do this?

Log into facebook and click the arrow on the right and click settings then go to "Security" and click "Where You're Logged In" then it will give you the date last accessed if it hasn't been deleted and then it should give you the location then the device type.. Should help you :)

Nothing suspicious was up so I went to sleep thinking it would be ok. Today I check my dads facebook again for any changes. When I try to log in, facebook says that the account is temporarily locked and that I need to submit an id.

My dad starting to get fed up with the system and dosen't really care anymore. If I just leave it will the account, will it auto delete or do I have to do something else to delete the profile?

Please and thank you

You would have to unlock it and then go to the security settings and go to deactivate account and take it down

you have to deactivate it in the settings then after a month you get the option to delete it

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

This is why you should always have accounts linked to your phone number.
