Hello. I have had some issues with my network for over a year now, and it has been bugging me all the time. Most of the time it's fine, but sometimes I get severe packet loss for long periods of time, and I haven't been able to find the cause. I have tested to run both wired and wireless, switch router and with different computers.

I did some tracert thingy to google, and I saw some consistent packet loss to one of the first jumps in the list, and my question is are they significant of any issue, or how should I read it?

Interesting... Well, like I said, switched cable, network card, different computers, and also switched router. Have to have a specific type of router though because of our isp, so switched to another of the same type. So it's a bad router model? Any ideas of what could be done to solve it?

Will be getting fiber from another isp in a month or so, but it has been bugging me for so long that I would like to learn why if nothing else.

Another thing that was very interesting is that if I do ipconfig /release in cmd, i still have access to google.com, but no other pages that I have found. What's up with that? I have some ideas of what it could be, but I'm a noob at networking :P
