Is this an effective build to play modern games at 1080p 60 fps medium to high settings?

r9 390 lost in crysis vs the 970

get a 980

also the 980 is bettur

The 980 is somewhat out of my price range for GPUs(maybe a future upgrade).

R9 390 can run justabout any game at 1080p well over 60 fps ultra settings that being said,
I'd get a 4690k, Hyper 212, an SSD, different PSU and different 390 (if you can find the sapphire nitro it's a beast)

I don't plan on overclocking anytime soon but I just wanted a build that has room for upgrades in the future.
