Hey there, just got my second MSI 980ti, which put me a in pickle I didn't think about.

I only have 2 8 pin to 8pin cables (have two more 8 to 8+6).

For now I'll be using 8+6 but I've cut off the 6.

Unfortunately it just doesn't look as good as I'd like.

As a result, I have decided to get 4 8 to 8 pin vga black custom cables.

I would prefer not to use extensions honestly though, so if someone has a good advice for the cables let me know. (alternatively if EVGA sells their standard g2 half-braided 8 to 8 pin cables separately I'd buy that as well.)

I know and love that GPU. I know exactly what you are talking about.

I am using the EVGA Supernova 1000P2 psu, and it came with like 6 red 8 pins, so I didn't really think about that either.

I'd recommend checking out CableMod.

Those cables aren't universal. We'll need to know the make and model of your PSU.

See sig, but it is universal to the g2 series (g2 850)

But only two regular 8 to 6+2... god dammit.

OMG same thing with cable mod wtf... I don't want a full psu replacement set.

we do sell cable kits for the EVGA G2 Series as well - Full Kit goes for $89 and Basic Kit for $49 - However our kits only feature 6+2 cables as well - the Basic Kit might be still an option for you to save some funds and get a cooler color combo.

Unfortunately I need 4x 6+2 in that case (which leaves me in the exact same position even though a 6+2 is obviously easier and cheaper to make then a 6+2+6), as if I am going to get custom cables then I need them for both my 8+8 pin 980tis.

I contacted your HQ and apparently you guys don't offer said configurations which is rather unfortunate.

(I understand why, but for a custom cable place to not actually sell custom individual cables is kinda a turnoff.)

If somehow I could order those with 4 6+2 pcie cables, I would potentially be willing to pay a premium.

got it - the only solution would be then to wait till our PCIe cables will be available in our channel network - my guess is that this will take another 2-3 months.

It's too bad you guys won't directly sell the cables...

I have the EVGA Supernova 1000 P2 and I'm currently in the process of making my own sleeved cables for it. PCIe cables are relatively easy as it's just 3 12v and 5 ground cables. There is a PSU pin out diagram from LutroO which includes the G2 and P2 pin outs. However it will cost a bit more if you do it yourself.
