So basically heres my deal. I currently have a 128GB SSD drive with a new WD Blue 500GB 7200RPM drive. I basically install my 2 games on the WD Blue and boot with my SSD, or at least thats what I am thinking is happening, some what of a noob when it comes to HD configuring. So my question is, if I buy another SSD, IE: a 256GB drive and add it to my pc and take out the 500GB WD Blue, will my boot speeds and game load speeds improve over what I currently have? If so, what is the best way to configure those 2 SSD's? I will say I am learning a lot from this community with my other posts, just another thing I need to start to learn and understand. Any and all advice is appreciated. tyty

Boot speeds won't improve as the OS wasn't using the HDD anyway during boot.  Removing the 500GB would leave you with half the storage but much faster storage.  Depends if that is important to you for games, otherwise the HDD might as well stay.  Why not just add the SSD instead of having to remove the HDD?

OK @Samfisher, your saying just keep the 500GB HDD, and replace the 128GB with the 256GB, reformat and call it done? But I was thinking if I kept the 128GB and added the 256GB SSD's, and then would I put them in Raid Configuration? Never done it before, I basically want my game load times to be faster, as now being my games are installed on the 500GB WD Blue, they would be slower right? Just trying to understand all this hard drive stuff....lol

Just install the 256GB SSD into the PC and move your games over, no need for a reformat or any major task That is unless you only have 2 SATA ports and thus need to remove 1 before installing another.

Your 128 is a slow drive. So, if you went with a faster ssd and just switched them, yes things would get faster. OTOH, by how much? That's really tricky and you've already seen most of the gains by switching to an ssd in the first place over an hdd. Will you see gains by switching to two ssd's over your hdd? A little, not worth the loss of space. What is on your hdd (should be) is not that speed sensitive. All the executables should be on the ssd and everything else on the hdd.

Yup As long as the Windows SSD doesn't get moved, adding a SSD to the machine is just plugigng power and SATA cables, and going into WIndows to format it and you're done
