Before thoughts:
Good afternoon all,
Recently I have played the Halo 5: Guardians. It being a Halo game and me previously playing all the other Halo games I kind of had an idea of what I was getting myself into. With the trailers there were was never really any gameplay evolved so you had to use your imagination and just and get a grasp of what is going to happen (or just a read an ign short description of the game.) Obviously it being an Xbox One it installs the game to the system so that took quite a time which kind of made me really hyped for this game because it makes me think it's going to have so much content. Now this next part of the review is souly based on my experience with the game for a week. You are entitled to your own opinion. Yes i know PC is better then anything, I as well own a PC.

Actual Review (may contain spoilers):

So now i loaded up the game and I am sitting on the main menu screen. The menu doesn't seem like they tried to make very eye candy like, compared to the other halos made by bungie and Halo 4 made by 343 (which is the same company that made this game.) Which could be a good thing if you don't like all the bells and whistles but playing previous halo's i was very disappointed. I loaded up the first mission and it opens with a cut scene like it's just this crazy event and so much is happening, almost like a battlefield or call of duty trailer, but then after this cut scene you're thrown into a very un-interactive environment. Now this kind of set my tone for the rest of the game. I continued to play through the campaign (all 15 or 16 missions there are) and i must say they did an amazing job with graphical aspect of the game and how much detail there was with the environment and the weapons. I was almost breath taken by these things that i ultimately distracted constantly by so many things. Now unfortunately that was the only aspect of the game that I enjoyed. The story is about Master Chief finding Cortana and needing to be on this forerunner planet. Now you may ask well what about this other spartan i see on the cover and in the trailer almost about to kill Master Chief? Well let me tell you about him. He's like a cop. Master Chief disobeyed and order and now this other spartan is there to chance him down. This other Spartan is a sub-story to the original story. Now this would be awesome if the original story wasn't only 3/15-16 missions long. Yes only 3 missions are based around the main story and actually tell a story. The others are just all about this other spartan chasing down the chief along with some filler. Like one mission was to talk to one person and that was it and that was the whole mission. Didn't have to kill and enemies or anything. Just walk about 50 meters and bam talk and thats the end. Now its like any other halo its a run and gun type game, but i've always enjoyed the stories of Halo and this very much dissapointed. The multiplayer was a good time if you have played any of the other halos but nothing has changed. I would not recommend this if you are on the edge of getting it.
