I was wondering if I could build a "dead" water loop what I mean by that is a loop that servers no purpose other than to be seen. I was thinking for it to look like a faucet where I would have a loop going directly from the bottom of the res to the top and it pouring into the res like it is a running faucet.

Good idea, I want to see it implemented though.

How are you intending to cool your components if there are inactive water blocks on them?

Intel i5 3570K - ASRock Extreme4 - Corsair Vengeance 8Gb RAM - ASUS GTX 660 Ti - Samsung 840 250Gb SSD (OS-Games) - WD 750Gb HDD (Storage) - Corsair TX650W PSU - Corsair 300R

No, he's planning to have a separate cooler for his CPU and stuff, and have a loop that serves no purpose, but to add to aesthetics.

If you're gonna spend the time to build a loop in your system why not cool your components with it?

Why not make another loop for your components? ;)

that would just look a little weird having 2 loops in your system with one that serves no purpose and then having to pay for all the stuff again to build another loop. Just doesn't make sense to me lol

cooling components would cost a lot more with blocks and rads and more tubing and more fittings this wont cost that much since its just a pump a res a few barbs and a bit of tubing :)

personally I like the idea I know its not practical but I'd like to see the end result although wouldnt it be noisy water trickling into the res all the time

My build is completely air cooled it has about 13 fans total. But I was watching a water cooling vid, one of singularity computers, and as he was filling his RES at about 3/4 the way full it looked like it was a faucet and I like the way it looked. Tho it would continually push air bubbles into the loop. And it would just he for fun. And for the noise I don't mind loud computers I actually enjoy the noise.

The main problem is I've never used any type of CWL I've used one AiO WL a corsair H55 so I don't know what to get or where to get it.

Do you plan on doing this?

to my knowledge and someone correct me if I'm wrong but all you will need is a pump a res a small amount of tubing some compression fittings and some liquid

Yes I do

If you are seriously considering this, go watch some of SingularityComputer's build logs on YouTube, or watch the ultimate build guide from LinusTechTips.

does he really need to watch those videos when all he's doing is having a little loop pumping water round a circle,I would have thought it was simple but I could be wrong like I said I'm no expert :)
