Hello,

My computer has been very up and down lately with multiple issues, recently I wiped my SSD and reinstalled windows 7 (64bit) and have experienced some weird encounters whilst running my computer. I haven't even passed the stage of even installing all of my drivers without the computer freezing, this problem doesn't go away after leaving it frozen and waiting to for it to unfreeze you actually have to hold the power button and restart. I have had some friends tell me it may be a problem with memory but I want some further assistance before making any unnecessary purchase.

Thank you

Do you ever get a blue screen, or is it just a complete system hang? Try running on a single stick of memory and see if you still get the problem (and try each DIMM that you have).

Take a look in the windows event viewer, it might have the answer to your problem, check out this video for a pretty good explanation on how to use it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAbuZ_LQJCo
