Phone call static

Hello,  when I am on the phone I use ear buds,  and whenever I am on my phone checking out social media while talking on the phone.  The person on the other end of the phone call complains about very loud static every once in a while.  This happens with every set of ear buds with a built in mic I have tried.  Another thing I might need to add is that I am calling through Facebook's messenger app.
