i bought a evga 780 sc about 2 weeks before they announced the 7990 price drop... hmm  :mellow: 

i'm after the most powerful pcie 2 or 3 slot card for the cash. 

maybe i should sell the gtx780 a week before the 9xxx release date and hopefully pick up close to what i paid for it then + ????? = profit

^^also what i've heard. but why would you want a more powerful card? a 780 is already enough for everything for a couple years.

I dont see the point in a 9970 when you already own a 780. For maybe 5% performance increase?

if i can get more bang for my buck then why not

 

You already have the 780, I doubt that you will make a real profit if you sell your 780 to buy a new card straight away. When your 780 won't suffice anymore for your usage, there will be a better card on the market anyways to buy. Stick with your 780, the few dollars you could (could) get are not worth the hassle, not with a 780.

but theoretically couldn't this hassle 'make" around $150 bucks + get more performance. then i could go buy lots of beer and game with +30 fps
