I've just graduated and dont really know what to do. I'm getting married in the summer and need to find a decent paying job soon. I LOVE building/trouble shooting hardware on computers. Haven't really learned a lot about coding though. Any suggestions? I dont have the money or time to go to college. Is there some sort of technical school that isnt "college" but could still train on something?

Any suggestions on jobs?

P.S. im in the U.S.

I'd suggest a technical school so you can get a job in a decent field, but you have time to decide so don't worry to much.

Oh and anything electronic related is the way to go (though this is likely obvious to you)

I think youre taking things way too fast.

How so? Even if a waited to get married I wouldn't have near enough money to go to a college.

What kind of jobs would come out of that?

IT, Electrical technician, Electrician things of that nature, they pay fairly well, and will remain relevant for years (aka you'll be able to find work), you could also get into automotive and other mechanical based fields.

Yeah, you're going waaaaay too fast. Have a worthwhile education, get a steady job, build up a financial buffer so you're fine with being unemployed for a few months if that ever happens, pay off your debts, then start thinking about getting married.

Getting an education before you get married is incredibly important. Marriage is a hell of an investment, even if your spouse is working. Here's the thing, if you think you don't have the time or money to go get a post-high school education now, then you're going to find that getting one when you're married is next to impossible and/or going to be very stressful for the rest of your family.

But there are ways around it. Find an apprentice job for a skilled trade. Build up your skills and reputation.

Also, there's usually government-provided loans or scholarships for technical schools.

Look, I've seen too many of my high school friends settle down too fast. They're happily married, sure, but they've got debts everywhere. Meanwhile, Dave (Placeholder name.) went to an Electrical Engineering school for a year and six months. A few months later he's easily making twice the amount of money that everyone else is, with little to no stress.

Adults are just kids with bigger wallets.

Thank you i think i'll do that :)

First off, congrats on getting married! That's a big deal and I wish you and your SO the best.

I would suggest gettting an associates degree through online school. In the meantime, maybe get a job at a tech store like Microcenter, Radioshack, BestBuy, or FRYs full-time. Who knows - you could make a career out of it :)

Thanks :)
