Evening folks, my name is Grey.

Recently I've come into a place where I can't use wifi all the time, so I switch to tethering to do my basic stuff like check emails and such. Unfortunately, for some reason, my computer likes to update EVERYTHING when I'm on data, and then sort of not.. when I'm on wifi. It's weird and it pisses me off. ANYWAYS.

Is there any way to restrict the amount of data I send/receive? When I'm playing video games online, at most I want to be sending/receiving around .2Mbps. The only time I go more than that is, well.. when my computer is updating stupid stuff.

I know it won't fix the problem, as it'll just download slower but will still download.. but at least I'll give me time to shut it off instead of getting up to get a snack, only to come back and realize my computer just downloaded 500 megs of some random stuff that could've waited until I was on wifi.

Any tips?
