It's not cheap and no it's nowhere near close to 4670k. Are you gonna bet that everybody will only play GPU-dependant games? Maybe you do and you never touch:

MMO

FPS

RTS

and any games that make use of modding (scripts), like Skyrim... and and and.

FX series is hopeless and competes with older Phenom II from AMD more than with Intel.

You should be on elrics new song honestly :D

Me, an Intel fanboy? Check my signature mate.

What do you see? A poor man with Phenom II x2 545.

If I could I'd jump to 3930k, I can't, though and I will probably jump to Phenom II x6 1045t in a while and stick with it until there's anything jump-worthy. my mobo can't accept AM3+ processors and if I had money to change my motherboard i'd rather get Xeon e3-1230v3 than FX 8350 (if i was to change the whole platform anyway) - but since i dont have enough funds, a 130$ Phenom II x6 1045t should be fine.

I'm just trying to open your eyes. FX series is not a worthwhile jump from Phenoms and doesn't compete with Intel at all.

That said I am looking forward to hearing Elric's fanboy songs :)

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

So what? It's cheap and will perform similar to 4670K in games as 99% of the games utilize the GPU waayyy more.

saying something is cheap is 100% relative. And relative to the 4670k and on a 950 dollar budget, it is cheap. And GPU is more important to spend more money on than cpu. Look at battlefield 3 for example. That game is an fps and almost entirely GPU dependant, as are most all new games. You might lose a few frames per second with choosing that processor but spending the extra money on a better graphics card will make your game better. It's pretty simple.
