H1Z1 Crash problem

So I bought h1z1 today cause it was 15% off. I got everything installed but whenever I try to join a server, the game becomes unresponsive and I have to close it. I launched the h1z1 test server and was able to join a test br server. I have already verified my game cache and it said 2 files were missing and it repaired them, but no fix. I know h1z1 is in alpha so these bugs are to be expected, but I would like to play the game online. My specs are in my sig, and I have windows 8.1 trial. Any help is appreciated.
