A while back, my employer switched from Android (HTC) to iPhone as the standard company phone. Being a heavy user of Google products I stuck to my HTC One M8. Unfortunately the phone died the other day (turns out it's not drool proof - our baby broke it), and now there's only iPhone 6 phones left as replacements at work.

I'm allowed to bring my personal tech to work (i.e. allowed to buy my own phone) so I'm not forced to use iOS, but seeing as I can get a free phone I'm considering making the switch.

I can live with buying new apps, but I've bought a lot of books from the Google books app which I'd like to keep, and I have tons of documents, photos, notes etc. stored in Google services.

I'm wondering if there are any heavy Google products users who has recently switched to iOS? What was the worst parts you had to live with after the switch? And what made it worth it?

I'd do it. They introduced an Android moving utility to iOS 9, main thing taken away is probably the HD (6 is 1366x768) and much less app selection and customization

iOS as always been known for plenty of apps that are high quality.

@OP The iPhone literally has nearly every single Google service you probably use so don't worry about that.

iOS has almost every single Google service, just no Play store. The reverse is worse. Ever since I got my iPhone 6 I've been addicted to iBooks and now I'm stuck lol, its how they get you, as much as I'm pissed off at the forced dual-page graphic novels. Google's book selection for my use is meh and the I swear Kindle manga have lower quality scans so...sigh what can I do, was nice knowing you Android.

I agree the apps are of much higher quality on the app store, it's just the selection. Sure, iOS has many exclusive game titles, but does iOS have antivirus options ( please don't pull an "apples don't get viruses" or widgets? Each have their ups and downs. ( btw, have an iPhone 6+. n0 h8 m8 )

Really? Prettu sure iOS has antivirus apps. Widgets are in the notification centre but I do know some people don't like that.

What's the point of an antivirus when you're not allowed to have malware in the only source that you can install apps from?

Did you hear the news about a month ago? 29 apps had been infected with malware, one was fairly popular even. ( they were all Chinese though )\

That was due to using an unofficial Xcode. Apple already fixed the issue with iOS 8.4.1 so by the time that everyone found out about it, it was already fixed.
