Hey guys!

I recently found an ad for a dell power edge 1950 with 32gb ram, duel xeon's for $65!

Is that a good deal? Main uses will be for virtualisation and most probably game servers, I already have an existing NAS so it won't be used for file storage or plex.

Thanks!

Yeah that's a pretty good deal, although 1950's are pretty damn old by now.  Power, heat and noise from cooling will be your main concerns.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.

Yeah that's the only issue is the power

Have fun with your power bill :P

Haha after reading some reviews online, not sure it's worth it! :P

Mainly looking for a more beefy system for my vm's, which I may just be able to do with more ram in my current server...
