Laptop temps weird?

Go to solution Solved by Nonco,

Laptops can run quite hot. Best thing to do to try help get temps down is to open it up and clean out all the dust in the fans ect.

Also if youre using it at home lots gaming, its good to invest in a cooling pad for a laptop :)

Under load (as in intensive gaming), my laptop CPU (measured using MSI Afterburner) normally reaches temps of 85-95C. I would like this not to happen, partly because of throttling and also because I kinda want this thing to last a while..

Anyway it's a Dell Inspiron 15in not-even-for-gaming laptop, so it doesn't have anything special in terms of cooling. Still, I just want to know if these temps are not to be expected for such a machine in gaming. And if they are uncommonly high for the circumstances, what could be wrong and what can I do about it? I understand if it's just that it's a shit-tastic laptop and a desktop with nice cooler would be better, but if it's a problem I can fix, I would like to know.

Thanks! :)
