1500 $ gaming pc

tejinder
Go to solution Solved by Morgan MLGman,

what amd processor would you suggest instead of i7 and i5

i dont know much about amd world but i am not a intel fanboy either

AMD CPUs are hard to compare with Intel's. They have many cores, they're relatively cheap and powerful, but their single-cored performance is bad compared Intel counterparts.

For solely gaming, a good i5 should be a better choice in majority of cases than for example an 8 cored AMD. If you do a lot of streaming/rendering/video editing and you're on a budget, then  AMD is your best bet.

I'm using an overclocked AMD FX-8350 8-cored CPU, I'm very happy with it, it's powerful, runs any game you throw at it and is very good at multitasking. Was pretty cheap too.

i looking to build an 1500$ gaming pc which will play games like BF4,BFhardline,CODs,GTA5 at good FPS. please suggest me some parts

That is some kind of overkill on 1080p because the budget is some kind for 1440p but who cares. It's better to go overkill rather than underkill

But why not an i7? It fits the budget.

If you stay at 1080p resolution, stay with nvidia.

Unless you want 4k, AMD r9 390 above(fury X) would be better because of the GRAM.

An i7 will serve you longer. The price difference is significant though.

AMD offers better price/performance with current generation of GPUs.

980Ti is fine for 1080p, better to max out games and not needing to upgrade later on in the future....

is it overkill other than futureproofing??

no, its not overkill.

and i7 for gaming? more price for a 1-2 fps difference.... he's not doing anything that will take advantage of hyper-threading like video editing, rendering etc, so leave it at an i5.

If he's got a 1500$ budget, he can definitely get an i7 over the 4690k, it will last him for a longer period of time.

The second statement is so retarded I won't comment on it.
