Hello all. I have a 7 year old rotten potato PC with a GeForce 9600GT in it that ONLY has a small radiator on it & nothing more... My question is, is there a way to hook up a CPU cooler to it somehow to cool it down? I can't play most of my games that I have installed because my graphics card overheats in 7-10 minutes... Also I don't have money (YET) for an upgrade to a better PC or atleast the GPU for now. Any help on this would be nice [emoji4]

yeah... you're much better off waiting til you have money to upgrade.

If you need to use that, instead of wasting money on a cpu cooler you'd be better off putting a house fan right against your open pc?

If you want to spend money on an old as shit gpu, you could buy small case fans online and zip tie them to your gpu

I tried once to cool down a bit the graphics card by using an old PC fan, but it helped almost nothing... I just want to do something to keep this thing under 100°C...

Liquid nitrogen is like 30 cents per liter just splash some of that on there

keep it nice n cool

jk, if you really need it to, get some compressed air and spray the back aprox where the chip is, hopefully it should cool it down, be careful no condensation will form but CPU cooler on GPU is not a good idea.

I was thinking about the compressed air but I would have to spray it on the card every few minutes just to keep it cool(er)... I something to keep it cooler all the time [emoji17]
