Xbox One Wireless Adapter?

How do I connect to this when I use my Xbox One Controller with batteries inside? Maybe I'm too stupid? It says I have to push the button on both but not how long and I have to keep it? I'm running Windows 10 Clean Install.

I just got mine in the mail today also, and I was confused for a good 20 min too. You have to make sure you're Windows 10 is fully up to date, so what I did was just press the "Check for updates" button in Windows Update, and I was able to download the driver for the adapter.

Actually I deleted the Adapter several times and after like 7 times it started to work randomly!? In case somebody wants to know.
