Hello,

I am new to the forums here. I have an idea for building an good gaming rig in a small mini-itx case  :) . I already have some experience in building my own pc but i am always careful before buying new expensive hardware and want to know for sure that it is compatibel with al the other hardware. So in the last month I have been searching for a good gaming rig. I found some good hardware I think for a good small rig. But my question is now if my components are compatibel with each other and/or if you guys have any suggestions for a better gaming rig.

My build so far:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 Boxed

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170N-WiFi

Case: Fractal Design Node 304 Zwart

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury black HX424C15FB/8

PSU: Corsair CS550M

GPU: MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G

Also I want to know if somebody does know if the PSU won't interfere with my GPU in this case. Because it's a modular one and the max length of the psu for this case is 150mm.

Thnx for the help :D :D

pascal is said to come out at q3 / 4 2016

more watt is "never" bad... gives you the chance to upgrade other parts ;)  evga got 10 years guaranty on most psu so what should go wrong

whats your total budget???

Ooh that's good to know that pascal comes out in q3/4 of 2016. gonna buy the 980 TI instead.

Yeah I know more Watt is better and it gives you a chance for upgrading parts but the case I gonna buy is a real small one and if the PSU is to long I can't put a long GPU in it ;(

That's why I thought a small 550 Watt power supply was better for this little case because else my next gpu won't fit in it :(

Isn't this a bit overkill for this system?

upgrade-ability for the future...
