Alright, a couple of things:

Get an SSD, you'd never forgive yourself if you didn't.

Another thing, get a Z97 Board. (An preferably one from ASUSteK or Gigabyte)

Also, you could probably get an XFX XTR or Cooler Master VSM.

And finally, get the R9 390. It is a hell of a lot better for the money.

- If you plan to overclock, get a Z97 motherboard. If not, keep that board and get an i5-4460.

- Get a cheap 240GB SSD that isn't the Kingston V300. Believe me, it makes a world of difference.

- Do you really need such a huge case for such a small motherboard?

- That system could never possibly use 850W, get a quality 550-650W unit. XFX/Seasonic/EVGA G2 are my picks.

- Get an R9 390, it's far better value for money than the 970 and has double the VRAM, meaning it's more powerful at high resolutions too. I have the MSI version and it's awesome.

. Hmmm, I was very closr to adding the 390 but gameworks dragged me in for fallout 4. One thing though does the R9 provide the same performance?

They are approximately equal at 1080p (390 slightly ahead) but at 1440p and 4K the 390 is much better because of the 8GB of VRAM vs the GTX 970's 4GB (or 3.5GB, depending on how you look at it) Anyway, seeing as they're the same price, the R9 390 is much better value for money.

However, if you like certain NVIDIA features for certain games (as you do) then you can be forgiven for choosing the 970.

Ok, I'll research them and then choose one which is best suited. Thanks :)
