New Laptop 970m/980m

Zeph

I am looking into getting a new laptop, I've been looking around for awhile now and I saw on newegg two laptops that caught my eye.

A Msi laptop, link is right HERE. Has a 970m. Only problem with that one is I have heard there is a problem with the 5700hq. It has Machine Check Exception BSOD, Is there a actual fix? I've heard you can just upgrade too Win 10 and update drivers and it goes away... But figured maybe someone has some input from experience. But other than that, It looks pretty solid. Price is at $1250.

OR

A gigabyte laptop, link is right HERE. Has a 980m! Only problem I've heard about this laptop is the fans are extremely loud, But I was thinking maybe with a cooling pad would this help? Price is at $1400 (with promo code, $200 off).

Any opinions and advice would be great :) Thanks!

Get a gs60 or gs70.... both have 970m which is plenty for 1080p if you get the new skylake ones, they come with an nmve ssd for insane boot times

Nothing wrong with the old msi, just has a single ssd instead of dual, and its an ssd. Not an m.2... otherwise it should be basicly the same

Well, the gs70 went up in price... And I found out the gigabyte.. for some ungodly reason cannot be shipped too WI, or MN.. So that leaves me with the GE72.. Unless anyone else has some opinions on other laptops for 1400 and under? :D
