Windows 10 Strange GPU Loads

Go to solution Solved by austinjklimzxz,

Yeah after few days of testing 355.98 seems to be working for my Aspire V15 Nitro with Win 10. Anyone else who has this problem can refer to this https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/3gwf5b/discussing_the_recent_win10_driver_crashes/

Just installed a clean win 10 pro on my Aspire V15 Nitro (i7 4720hq, gtx 860m with 8gb ddr3 ram)

One thing im having problems with win 10 is that the grahpic kernel sometimes crash and recover by itself. (Nvidia Kernel 385.30 has crashed and recovered..... sth like that).

Just DDU my drivers and still experiencing this odd thing.

Can anyone help? ")

I'd suggest a clean install of Windows now while you still have time.

Did A clean install everything is working fine. Just that I find this unusual behaviour of the grahpic card a bit odd. When i was on Win8.1 and idling, the temps and loads are almost 0 but on win 10, it constantly fluctuates then drops then repeats.

The kernel error occurs 3 times or more a day. Wondering if anyone else has this problem. Just DDU and reinstalled new drivers see if I still have this problem or not. :)

download a few revisions old nVidia drivers and DDU the current ones then load the old ones.

What is the error, have you looked at your event viewer?

I mean its kinda hard to understand, everything is "working fine" but report temps at 0 to 10 (I'm assuming C) which is too cold to operate effectively.  This packed in with kernel errors (which is a problem with either the OS itself or a driver situation) isn't what I'd consider "working fine".

Just DDU and install older drivers (used to be 385.50, now on 355.98). So far no errors but still gonna see if there is any. My gpu temps are usual 40-50C at idle and goes up to 80 when playing D2 with almost max settings on dual mon setup. Now I manually control my fan speed using rw everything so that the cooling can be improved.

Im just curious about the constant fluctuation like the image instead of the never fluctuate at all when idle temps in win 8. Just a bit curious :3
