Which would be better for casual 1080p gaming is the 7790 worth the extra money? Both are 1gb cards, I understand graphics won't be maxed out, but can it run games at 1080?

Not sure... He has a 780...

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

7850 1gb is well worth money

Ya but even when the 9XXX series comes out, I will still probably buy a lower end card because prices will be marked down...

Maybe the 7970's price will drop significantly... the 7990's price is around $700 right now... Who knows if it will go down anymore...

go with the 7790 it's a good card and i'm sure even if you wit for the next gen stuff the prices would be so high that you would need to get like the lowest end one which may only perform just as good. as the 7790 

(1) high frame rate (2) ultra graphics settings (3) cheap...>> choose only two<<...

 

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))
