Alaska shipping?

Do most us places ship to Alaska, and does it cost more?

I would like to live there in like 10 years.

In 10 years, Amazon will probably have super drones delivery it to you in a few minutes. 

 

I'm not too familiar with shipping in the US, but I'd assume most places would ship to Alaska, provided it's not a super remote area.

Why go to Alaska, if not for their way of life? Some US stores deliver to Alaska, some don't, you will almost definitely not get the same kind of service for the same price as the lower 48. If this isn't cool with you, moving to Alaska is probably a bad idea.

on almost every day, a company called buffalo airways deliver cargo to the north of canada. and I think alaska is part of it too.

Why go to Alaska, if not for their way of life? Some US stores deliver to Alaska, some don't, you will almost definitely not get the same kind of service for the same price as the lower 48. If this isn't cool with you, moving to Alaska is probably a bad idea.

 

Same reason the US goes to any place and fights any war: Oil.

I know I was joking. I think you'll get to pay heavily to have stuff delivered there, if anything ask stores about it before placing an order.

From what I know about Alaska (which is little to be fair) is that while most delivery carriers say they deliver whenever or not they actually get carriers up there depends a lot on your location. There's people on Alaska on cities and large enough settlements that do get delivers no problems and there's people who live very isolated and they will probably be notified like "Hey your package is here for you to pick it up....100 miles away on the nearest town with a UPS office"
