Well I did that with my 780 and I used 3% more usage but it stayed under clocked at 692MHZ (idle clock for mine) so really it doesn't do anything. So nothing to be worried about I would say.

It probably is normal, but 10c increase. Wow.

 

It probably is GPU accelerated, since most of aero's transparency and animations are GPU accelerated nowadays.

mine just stays at 300mhz and the usage goes up and down for any reason, its an animation real time so it involves using the gpu even if its simple.
