Hello guys!

A painfully cringey story of how I made it here is in the spoiler below.

I am new to this forum. About 1-2 months ago, I signed up, but entered a wrong email, so I used my actual one in a new account but the confirmation email never name. So I gave up, but today I thought of resetting my password and yay! I'm in.

Lets cut to the chase. Soon I am going to build a PC. Since you guys here are dedicated to computers, I thought I might ask you :) The list is in yet another spoiler below.

(The 'other' features the case since it wasn't on PCPartPicker but is available in my country).

I have a few things I would like to check, since my first laptop was horrific and now I need to build a great PC which can last as long as possible.

> The compatibility of the PSU and the motherboard.

> If the motherboard needs a BIOS update,

> If the temps of the CPU will be good (intake and exhaust fans of the case are 58CFM (and 18dB))

> And the general compatibility of all the parts :D

Just a few notes to explain why I chose some of them:

The GPU temps aren't that bad, and stay at around 55 - 70 Celsius, under load. Also, the 8GB of VRAM lets my games splash out all of their load, and it has a 512-bit bus to manage it all. VRAM galore :D

I chose an 80+ PSU because of the efficiency and it being modular.

The motherboard has some spare PCIe slots, although I know I will need to upgrade the PSU for Crosssfire, but I don't ever want to do that anyway :P

The CPU choice: I will not upgrade it for a long, long time. Also, I am doing gaming and video rendering as well.

16GB RAM because 16GB RAM. (Futureproof, and no, the 1866Mhz did not cost any more than the 1600Mhz)

The WiFi card will not bottleneck any speeds.

According to the eXtreme PSU calculator, the full load wattage of the build is around 550W.

The case link does not work in the PC Part Picker link, so here it is: http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-s-window and I plan to buy it from here: http://amzn.to/1Mw3m31

Please notify me if I posted this in the wrong section.

All thoughts welcome, except flamewars xD

Hello guys!

I'd go for skylake over haswell if the price difference isn't much, drop the SSD to make up for the difference

Otherwise get an IPS display

and a non NEX PSU

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

If you could stretch the budget a little bit, this is pretty sure your winner
