Windows Key Activation

Go to solution Solved by MourningSouls,

OEM keys can generally only be used once, retail can be used as many times as you want, as long as only one system is using it at a time.

Officially anyways.

So, if a Windows key is activated is it only available to use for one computer and one computer only? Does it depend on the version of Windows like 7/8/8.1/10? My version of Windows 8 and 8.1 let me use the key several times and I can use them over and over again for multiple computers but this key I got for 7 Professional only worked once, so like does it depend or something?

Unless you buy a very specific version of windows you can only activate each key once.
