hanks @ttam for http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/63380-the-easy-option-for-a-computer-desk/

I've posted asking for some help with this in the past (probably around a month ago) but the funds finally came in I'm just waiting for my bank to approve the deposit... Apperently being 19 and having $3100 USD deposited into your bank account is suspicious... so I figured I'd double check everything. Logic posted directly beneath things to try and answer and FAQs about choices I expect to get.

Will likely go with this thank you, note for future though; if only suggesting one change maybe only post that one change... like I did in the quote. Again thank you for your input.

Just changed a few parts:

- Monitor

- Ram, X99 CPUs will benefit more if using a quad-channel kit (4 sticks) rather than a dual channel kit (two sticks)

Thank you for pointing out that monitor I thought the cheapest 144hz ips 1440p freesync monitor would be more than just a $50 step up... and I referenced quadchannel in my OP I plan on upgrading to 32GB in the near future and was thinking Quadchannel of 8GB dimms or 8 4GB dimms and have 4x4GB dimms now, guess Quadchannel sooner is probably better and I don't need the room for 64GBs now that I think about it... but the PSU really stepping down in wattage and efficiency standard? Not certain about that... But thanks for your input reguardless I'm not certain about the PSU choice but I'll probably hop on the ram and monitor choices

Sorry on late reply charter router just shat out on me

@GloriousPain,

The motherboard has 8 memory slots and supports up to 128GB with quad channel memory operation. Start with a 4x4GB kit. Later you can add a 4x4GB, 4x8GB, or 4x16GB kit if needed. Quad channel memory operation will make a difference in rendering and possibly editing.

I would also suggest a memory kit with slightly better speed and timings, G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory.

I guess I forgot to mention that there is a small chance that two kits may not work together in quad channel. Also, XMP profiles are based on kit capacity so there is a small chance of issues running memory at the advertised speed and timings.

I'm aware, but I don't really think it'll be much of an issue.
