i just helped my friend with his cable management in his pc. once i got done we plugged everything in and powered it on. when i hit the power and there was a click. i think it was from the PSU, but nothing else happens. is it a fried PSU or mobo? please help

double check everything is seated right into and out of the PSU and retry it. The click makes me think the PSU might be the issue, but its always good to go over everything and make sure nothing is shorting or not seated properly

we have done that multiple times

OK, next step would be to try a differnt PSU and see if that solves the issue, it sounds like that its there that the issue is.
