Your enhancements are within dolby not the properties.  I had the same before I realized that.

Hey guys and gals,

I'm in the position of desperately needing an equalizer and have scoured the interwebs only to find tons of solutions that all point to me having a particular problem. When I go to speaker properties to enable enhancements, the enhancements tab has nothing in it other than "disable all sound effects." I'm on windows 8 and all my drivers have been manually updated an hour ago. Anybody know what's going?
