First of all i would like to thank the LTT community for helping me build my first PC.The new build runs fine but i wonder whether the temperatures are good.

 

Specs : 

Intel Core i7 4790K "Haswell" CPU

Asus Sabertooth z97 mark 2/usb 3.1

Samsung 850 pro 512GB SSD

EVGA SuperNOVA 750G2 Power supply

WD Red Pro 2x2TB hard drive (RAID 1)

 

No OC and CPU temps below are when the pc is idle

Those temp are... *steps closer to heater to cool off* ...hot...like really hot. My laptop doesn't even run that hot and it freaking cooks itself...

Lolwut. 50 c is nothing. Whoops just saw that it was on idle and no OC. 

 

OP, are you using stock cooler?

no you're good man i'm just trippin'. Here's what my laptop hits at idle...

ignore the whole battery section, my laptop idles for like an hour on battery =P oh and those temps are with a fan underneath my laptop btw...

At idle , your temps shouldn't be more than a few degrees higher than ambient.

Try reseating the cooler and applying new thermal paste.

What cooler are you using ? Even stock should have better temps .
