Network Adapter Driver problem, No internet - please help

UpcomingProGamer
Go to solution Solved by SubTract,

Are you using ethernet or wireless?

Is it intergrated into the motherboard or a dedicated card?

You can go into device manager, Find the unknown device, Go to properties, Details tab, Change the dropdown box to hardware ID (might be device ID?) Copy and paste ID into google.

If its integrated into your motherboard you can go to the webpage for the motherboard and download the drivers from there.

I have just reinstalled windows on my computer and I don't have internet access, I've had this problem before where I downloaded a driver and the internet then worked but I don't know how to get that driver again or if I need a new one, please help me. Everything is fine other than no internet.

BTW: The wifi works fine, but the desktop has no internet.

Use some other computer to download the driver from the manufacturer's website, save it onto a USB stick and use it to transport it to the computer. Or download the driver using your phone and use the USB cable to get it onto your computer.
