Nope it will still bottleneck there is no point buying any FX series CPU since they are out dated and Intel CPUs at the same price will outperform them.

Yea go with the intel build, however I would say you might want to see if you can get the 980 to fit into the intel build, because that system would be perfect with that GPU,. ( It is still a killer build without it)
