So the money for my first custom pc is expected to be full by the end of october (as in i can buy it).  But considering the winter and boxing day sales are in a couple of months, should i wait and see what goes on sale?

Now before you say "i dont have a crystal ball" im not asking for the prices, im just asking if someone whos experienced the sales can advise me to or not.  I understand you cant tell the future but relate it to last years sales, were they worth it?

Sorry if its a dumb question but im just asking if i wait, would it be worth it.  (yes, i would rather spend a extra $100 dollars or so now than save it in two months).

Depending on how urgently you need it, you could wait for the post-Christmas sales. Prices drop like crazy around that time, but you also run the risk of parts being out of stock.

I guess another important question here is are the parts you need going to go on sale and if the resellers are going to cut their margins enough to warrant waiting. So many variables

Thank You!  This was the question i was hoping and looking for.

When i see "drop like crazy" i will think its worth the wait.  The urgent thing is i cant really play much games till then (just witcher 3 mainly on my xbox one).  And if they do go out of stock, i hope they refill soon.

Thank You again.

Aren't those kind of hard to find these days? If that's the case, if you find one at a reasonable price I would pick it up. I get the feeling the savings on something like that will be negligible at best, if it does go on sale.

I found a new one in USA for $300, that plus shipping (and the 30 cents to dollar extra) made it to around $450-ish CDN... if only i had the money before it sold out.....

And yes, they are a very sharp needle in a football feild sized haystack.  Maybe overexagurated a bit but they are hard to find for under $450-$500 CDN new (after $450-$500 CDN your better off with a 970...).

Then you should absolutely not wait if you find one at a reasonable price
