If I have Crysis 2 on Origin can I play with someone that has it on Steam? This might be a stupid question but I could not find anything on it.

Yes, but you probably have to have 2 keys,  1 for Steam, 1 for Origin.

Origin will accept Steam keys for EA games but I highly doubt you can use that one copy at the same time on 2 computers logged into Origin and Steam.

You can try it but don't expect it to work.

If you bought the humble bundle, for Crysis 2 Max Edition, you should have two keys: an origin key and a steam key. I think you would be able to play them at the same time because don't expect the Origin database having the same key as the Steam database as that would cause problems if 2 people activated the same key.

I'm not sure about all games, but Origin detected Mirror's Edge from my Steam folder and I'm having some trouble launching, as it wants to launch from Steam.
