New gpu for ROG PG278Q

hi all wanted some opinions just got my ROG pg278q in the other day and atm plays games like lol, heros of the storm, gta v, BF4, ect great with my strix 970, but im planning on playing alot of battlefront 3 also BO3 when they come out and at 1440p i was thinking the strix 980ti maybe sli or is a 980ti a waste of money thoughts appreciated.

I'd say R9 390X is more than fine - save yourself some money :P
