Alright, so my school just got us WiFi for us that we log in using our student ID and password. It runs great throughout the entire school, but being a school, many sites like Facebook and Twitter are blocked.

So my obvious thought was to get my VPN set up for that network. I have one - FrootVPN - and it works great on all my devices on my home network. However, my school's network blocks many of FrootVPN's server and a few other VPN services.

Tunnelbear and Hotspot Shield both work on the network, but I want to be able to use the VPN service I paid for.

As mentioned, servers are blocked. Here's what I've tried on my phone (main device when at school):

 -  Direct connection to us-vpn.frootvpn.com (PTPP and L2TP)

 -  Direct connection to se-vpn.frootvpn.com (PTPP and L2TP)

 -  Direct connection to 178.73.195.101 (PTPP and L2TP)

 -  Direct connection to 178.73.195.103 (PTPP and L2TP)

 -  Direct connection to 178.73.195.100 (PTPP and L2TP)

 -  Direct connection using OpenVPN Connect with FrootVPN's official profile for this app (no forwarding or proxying or anything)

 -  Connection using OpenVPN for Android using FrootVPN's official profile for this app on a TCP/UDP protocol to all the above servers on server port 443

All of these work on my unblocked home network, none work on my school network. This is not looking good for me. Help?

Listen, their is a law against using service the by-passes a school network's security measures

Also schools get incredibly pissed when they find out.

And since I manage a lot of networks for schools, I know almost instantly when some one is using a VPN.

Not so sure if this is Illegal in Canada, though if it is in the US, it probably is up here. Good to know..

The US companies, Tunnelbear & Hotspot Shield, are both US companies, and are required to follow US laws.

It is illegal for them to allow you to use their service in in it his manner.

Well FrootVPN is Swedish... So I doubt I'm breaking any laws by doing this considering how loose Sweden is on Internet policies.
