Hello , I am about to order  ROUTER, TP-LINK TL-R470T or R480T+ , I am not sure if i should go for the newer version, it have more ports but I need only two, is there any software/hardware upgrade on the newer version worth buying it? And will it do my thing - I need to upload to twitch.tv , but my upload causes my ping in game to go higher. The solution I found now is to get second internet connection and Load Balance router to bind specific apps to use different WAN. Will this help me Out?

What speeds would the 2 connections be?

I am currently with 20Mbps download and 10Mbps upload, I am getting this router because my internet can't handle 1080p broadcasting and we won't get fiber in my city till march next year. I won't combine them, I need just one of them to use 1935 Port which is the twitch one, and the other to be for everything else.

the usual thing streamers with multiple connections do is dedicate one connection to streaming, and one to gaming. (plug the streaming rig in one, and all else in the other)

and.. 10Mbps upload should be more than plenty to stream to twitch, because twitch doesnt like it when your stream is more than 3.5Mbps.

manikyath , that's true about the 3.5Mbps , but when I put 3500 Bitrate my ping in CS:GO Start getting higher which makes the game unplayable. Manikyath, you seems to know about my situation, I am trying to make it work for 3 years now, really ! :D Would you add me on skype or somewhere else so you can help me a bit? I am wondering still

so, i have *roughly* 10mbps upload, and i never had that issue...

are you sure its not just your ISP being a potato?

Samppa Yes I use OBS. Manikyath , my ISP is potato, but I think it's normal to be laggy since It's not so powerful connection, I'll get fiber in march as I said, but I need a solution until then, because I had 600 Subscribers on twitch at some point -.- I lose a lot more money than buying 2/3 intertnet connections and load balance routers.

When I did some tests on Xsplit, I can stream at 8500 Bitrate without losing frames, I don't know It's weird ..

You could buy a 2nd nic and connect it to another connection and in obs's setting set it to use the 2nd nic: 737fcd052144495e3feac926bb32d2bc.gif

Look what this guy told met o do  -

There's two ways to do this:

  1. Two LANs - This seems like what you're thinking of doing. The only way to move traffic on one LAN versus another would be with static routes on your computer. I don't recommend doing this.

  2. Policy based routing - The TP Link TL-R480T+ that you're looking at will support this. How I would do it is with the Policy Routing section of the Load Balance menu. Set All traffic with a destination port of 1935 (RTMP port for Twitch - assuming that's what you're streaming on) to go out WAN2, and all traffic to go out WAN1.

Your latency is probably going high because your streaming is maxing out your upload. If your ISP offers any packages with higher upload it may save you from this complexity. Or you could lower your OBS bitrate.
