Disassembling Switch 810 top panel

Go to solution Solved by JordanMac,

you can pull it out without breaking it by bending the top panel, i removed mine to replace with mesh but it could have gone back in without a problem

Hi, I was just wondering whether there is a way to to disassemble and reassemble the top panel of the Switch 810 without damaging it, because I'm going to paint it and I'd like to just paint the frame without the grills that can be opened/closed. Has anyone done this before and if so, how? Thanks

Alright, thanks, that sounds fairly simple. Which way/direction did you bend it?

Haha, that's not what I meant ;) the top part consists of two individual parts, I want take out the inner.

ahhhh ok now  i understand :) usually companies glue the mesh on. see if it can pop off?

You can replace the top metal panel. Its not that hard to take it off. Once you see it, its kinda logical.
