Phanteks Evolve mATX Case

I was going to do a build in the smaller Evolv ITX version because that case is budget priced. But now I'm leaning towards the mATX aluminum bodied Evolv. That fan controller that comes with it - how does it work or is it more of a hub? I was planning on non-PWM fans for the case front intake and rear exhaust, if that's what the stock fans are, and letting the motherboard control a large CPU heatsink w/fan because I don't want to do liquid cooling. But anyway tell me more about the case fan controller/hub? Is it a good to use?
