Do the fan on the graphics cards start up when you start the computer?

 

You could try and plug the monitor into the motherboard and install the graphics card driver and then try the graphics card again.

Make sure that your gpu is fully inserted into the PCI-E slot and you cannot see the gold on the connectors. Check that your monitor connections are properly inserted and make sure you set your monitor to the input you plugged it into (HDMI, DVI, VGA etc.) Try a different PCI-E slot if it doesn't work to see if your PCI-E slot is defective.
